Dr. John Whittaker is an economist at Lancaster University and a specialist in monetary policy; he has written widely on the dangers of the euro. With a family background of manufacturing in the North West, his priority is to free small businesses from overbearing EU regulations and unecessary red tape.

"None of us are politicians. We are ordinary people from a variety of backgrounds and experience who disagree with the EU running Britain’s agriculture, fishing, defence, economic affairs, foreign policy and legal system. The main political parties all remain committed to the European Union, despite rhetorical promises. UKIP is the only party which believes that Britain would be better off out."
